Arkansas baseball starting pitcher Hunter Dietz exited the Hogs' quarterfinal game against Texas at the SEC Tournament after taking a line drive off his foot in the bottom of the first.

Dietz fell to the ground after getting struck by a 105 mph comebacker off the bat of Casey Borba on Friday, May 22. Coach Dave Van Horn and trainer Corey Wood came to the mound, but Dietz continued to hobble around before leaving the field.

There were two outs and runners on first and second when the incident occurred. Righty Steele Eaves relieved the ace lefty. The television broadcast said Dietz will get an x-ray at the ballpark.

Dietz's potential injury is a big scare for the Razorbacks (37-19) with the NCAA Tournament rapidly approaching. Dietz has been the Hogs' No. 1 pitcher since mid-April, and he was recently named first team All-SEC with a 7-3 record and a 3.32 ERA.

It is also the second injury at the SEC Tournament for Arkansas. Designated hitter Kuhio Aloy broke his hamate bone during the second-round win over Tennessee on Wednesday, May 20.
