HILLIARD – Bloom-Carroll’s Gideon Mills had a fantastic day at the Ohio High School Athletic Association 7th & 8th Grade State Track and Field Championships on May 16 at Hilliard Darby High School.

Mills competed and placed in the top three in three events, taking home a state title after winning the 100 (11.38). He placed second in the 400 (50.37). His time in that event ranks among the top times in the nation. He also placed third in the 200 (23.19).

Mills scored a total of 24 points, and his effort enabled Bloom-Carroll to finish third overall as a team. The first-place team finished with 29 points, and the second-place team had 28.
