Some Hall of Fame conversations may require spirited debate, and even if one never materializes, they seem to conjure themselves up anyway. This one really doesn't fit in that box. Baltimore Ravens fans have known for years that Terrell Suggs and Marshal Yanda belong in Canton. NFL.com recently echoed what many in Charm City have long believed.

Eric Edholm named the legendary pass rusher and offensive lineman as Baltimore’s next two most likely Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees. Most would agree. They were both finalists for the most recent class, but when that class was introduced, neither Raven was mentioned.

Some voiced their complaints about a 'snub' immediately as news spread. Sure, their time will come. The only real mystery? Who gets the gold jacket first? Edholm gave Suggs the slightest edge, largely because of the individual hardware on his resume, but he made one thing clear. Both men feel destined for football immortality.

Edholm's theory shouldn't surprise anyone. Let's begin with Suggs. He wasn’t merely one of the better edge rushers of his generation. For long stretches, he was the heartbeat of Baltimore's defense, the emotional tone-setter for one of football's nastiest identities.

He earned two Super Bowl rings (one with Baltimore). He was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He won a Defensive Player of the Year award to go with seven Pro Bowls. He earned multiple All-Pro honors. He built a career by terrorizing quarterbacks, forcing fumbles, and delivering the kind of swagger Ravens fans embraced immediately.

Then there's Yanda.

If Suggs represented Baltimore’s defensive personality, Yanda embodied everything the franchise has always valued offensively: toughness, consistency, violence in the trenches, and zero need for outside attention. The resume? It was also impressive: eight Pro Bowls, seven All-Pro selections, and an All-Decade Team mention. He also won a Super Bowl ring and universal respect from anyone who studied offensive line play seriously.

Edholm referenced something particularly important about Yanda’s case. Players viewed as the best at their position during their era almost always eventually make their way to Canton. That absolutely applies here. If anything, Ravens fans might argue Suggs and Yanda deserve to enter together, though Hall of Fame voting rarely works that neatly.

Whether Suggs gets the call first because of the splashier resume or Yanda earns his long-overdue recognition shortly afterward almost feels beside the point. The real takeaway is simple. Baltimore didn't just produce franchise legends. It produced two all-time greats who will eventually take their rightful place among the elite of football immortality.
