If you're a Michigan football fan, the month of May has been a good one when it comes to the Wolverines' 2027 recruiting class.
Entering the month, the Wolverines had just five commitments. Now the total stands at 14.
Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL) four-star cornerback Tavares Harrington became the latest addition to that 2027 group, committing to the Wolverines on Friday. He chose Michigan over Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame and Ole Miss.

According to 247Sports, Harrington ranks as the No. 190 player in the 2027 class. The site ranks him as the No. 25 cornerback and No. 10 player out of Illinois.
Playing for arguably the best team in the state and one of the best in the country, Harrington recorded 50 tackles, nine pass breakups and three interceptions on a Mount Carmel team that went 14-0 and only allowed 17.4 points per game.
Given how the last few recruiting cycles have gone for Michigan, it shouldn't be shocking that Wolverine fans were starting to get a little restless entering the summer.
May changed that, though.
The Wolverines now have nine commitments this month, including six ranked as four-star prospects. Of those five, three are on the defensive side of the ball.
The Wolverines have also emphasized landing the keystones of their class so far in Illinois and Michigan.
Their top-ranked commitments so far are offensive tackle Jakari Lipsey out of Loy Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI) and edge Recarder Kitchen out of Meskegon. Harrington is the second Mount Carmel player to commit to Michigan, joining four-star receiver Quentin Burrell.
