Colorado suffered its fifth consecutive defeat Saturday, falling 57-24 to Oklahoma State after leading 24-23 at halftime.
The Buffaloes were shut out 34-0 in the second half following a promising start to head coach Deion Sanders' fourth season, which had opened with an upset of Georgia Tech and a blowout win over Weber State.
Sanders expressed bewilderment at the collapse. "I really don't understand it," he said. He noted the team has maintained discipline away from the field but has failed to execute at critical moments during games.
Colorado now faces potential changes at quarterback after Isaac Wilson, who had replaced Julian Lewis in September, was benched for Kaneal Sweetwyne. The Buffaloes remain without a Big 12 road victory since 2024 and have dropped to 2-15 against Power Four conference opponents since December 2024.
