The Anaheim Ducks signed forward A.J. Greer on Tuesday to a four-year, $17-million contract that will pay him an annual salary of $4.25 million through the 2029-30 season.

The signing comes one day after the Ducks acquired the rights to Greer from the Florida Panthers in exchange for the rights to defenseman Radko Gudas.

According to PuckPedia, the Ducks now have $40 million in cap space.

Greer, 29, is coming off a 2025-26 campaign with the Panthers that saw him score 17 goals and add 15 assists for 32 points and 113 penalty minutes in 78 games. His previous career high in points was 17.

In nine NHL seasons, Greer has 36 goals and 45 assists for 81 points and 448 penalty minutes in 326 career regular-season games with the Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames and Boston Bruins.

He’s also dressed in 278 career AHL regular-season games, where he’s scored 85 goals and recorded 110 assists for 195 points and 380 penalty minutes.

A native of Joliette, Que., Greer was taken in the second round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Avalanche. He spent two seasons playing college hockey with Boston University, where in 55 NCAA games, he scored four goals and added eight assists for 12 points and 28 penalty minutes.
