Lindbom came to the end of his three-year, entry-level contract this past year, which had a cap hit of $840,000, with a minor-league salary of $80,000.

Lindbom has spent most of the past two years in the American Hockey League, playing with the Henderson Silver Knights, the Golden Knights’ primary affiliate. After a promising rookie season, the Swedish backstop was exceptional in 2025-26, going 24-5-8, with a 2.16 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage and three shutouts, helping the Silver Knights finish third in the Pacific Division. Lindbom went 3-3 in six playoff starts, pushing Henderson to the division finals, ultimately losing to the Colorado Eagles. He registered a 2.56 GAA and a .913 SV%.

On top of the impressive season in the AHL, the 23-year-old saw some time with the big club. After being handed losses in his first six starts in the NHL, he earned his first win on Nov. 29 against the San Jose Sharks. His last appearance came on Jan. 21, which saw him defeat the Sharks again. In eight games with the Golden Knights, Lindbom went 2-4-2, with a 3.00 GAA and a .873 SV%.

In 71 regular-season appearances in the AHL, Lindbom has a career record of 41-20-11, with a 2.41 GAA, a .919 SV% and six shutouts.

It’ll be interesting to see where Lindbom starts next season. The Golden Knights have both Adin Hill and Carter Hart signed through next season.

Lindbom was taken by Vegas in the seventh round, 222nd overall, of the 2021 NHL Draft.
