Utah forward Lauri Markkanen left Monday's loss to Memphis with a right wrist injury and is undergoing MRI imaging. Markkanen exited roughly six minutes into the first quarter after his hand became caught between teammate Jaren Jackson Jr. and Grizzlies forward Cameron Boozer on a screen.

Jackson also left the same game with a right knee injury and is undergoing MRI. The incident occurred at the 10:17 mark of the second quarter when Memphis guard Ty Jerome fell into Jackson's right knee following a drive. Svi Mykhailiuk was called for a foul on the play. Jackson remained for the next offensive possession before checking out and being ruled out later.

Jazz head coach Will Hardy offered no postgame update on either player. "We'll know more tomorrow once they get some imaging," he said.

Utah was already shorthanded, with starting center Jusuf Nurkic sidelined by a toe injury. Big man Jaxson Hayes missed Monday with right shoulder soreness after starting the opener and averaging 23.7 minutes through the first three games. The Jazz traded Walker Kessler to the Lakers in a sign-and-trade over the summer.
