The family down at Gillette got some good news this week, and it ain't about the spread. Patriots tight end Hunter Henry just got tapped as the NFLPA's Community MVP for Week 6, and the books ain't got nothing to do with this score.
Henry ran his second "Freedom to Play" ping pong tournament alongside the International Justice Mission. Several of his teammates showed to support the cause. The event cleared more than $220,000 to fight human trafficking and slavery worldwide.
"I'm thankful to be honored and excited to continue to bring awareness," Henry said in a statement.
The NFLPA is kicking in $10,000 to the International Justice Mission in Henry's name. That's a nice piece of change for a worthy outfit. Plus, Henry's now in the running for the Alan Page Award when the 2026 season wraps, joining the other weekly made men who earned their stripes off the field.
Mickey's Angle: Good deeds don't move lines, but Henry's stock with the fanbase just went up—keep an eye on his leadership in that locker room.
