The 49ers had only one change to their injury report Wednesday: Defensive tackle James Thompson (hamstring) returned to limited work. Thompson did not practice a day earlier.
That is good news for a team that lost defensive tackle Alfred Collins to a knee injury earlier this week.
Defensive end Nick Bosa (knee) and tight end George Kittle (Achilles) remained limited ahead of Thursday night's season opener.
Bosa tore the ACL in his right knee in a Sept. 21 game against the Cardinals and underwent surgery Sept. 26. As he was coming back this summer, Bosa experienced soreness and tendinitis, and the 49ers backed him down until Sept. 2 when he returned to practice.
49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris said recently Bosa will play, but it is unclear how much.
Kittle's status sounds more up in the air as he works his way back from the right Achilles he tore in a Jan. 11 playoff game against the Eagles. Like Bosa, if Kittle plays, he likely is on a snap count.
Linebacker Luke Gifford (hamstring), linebacker Dre Greenlaw (Achilles), defensive tackle Gracen Halton (ankle), defensive end Romello Height (ankle) and fullback Kyle Juszczyk (finger) again were limited.
Cornerback Upton Stout (Achilles) remained a full participant.
