The Bears activated offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo from active/physically unable to perform, the team announced.
Trapilo was expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2026 season after a patellar tendon injury in the wild-card playoff win over the Packers. He underwent surgery Jan. 21.
The Bears selected Ozzy Trapilo in the second round of the 2025 draft, and he played 14 games, with six starts at left tackle, in his rookie season. Trapilo, the third left tackle they used, stabilized the position.
The team currently lists Braxton Jones, Jedrick Wills Jr. OR Kiran Amegadjie as the starting left tackle on its depth chart.
The Bears also announced they waived defensive back K.C. Eziomume, wide receiver Kyron Hudson and defensive back Gervarrius Owens with injury settlements.
