When you add a 42-year-old quarterback with opinions that straddle the line between "outside the box" and "f—kin' nutty" into a room full of twentysomethings, interesting things can happen.

Case in point, Steelers receiver DK Metcalf now believes that there's a civilization living inside the earth. He also believes Antarctica is "another world."

“Yeah, I’m a big conspiracy theorist,” Metcalf recently told Jonathan Jones of The Athletic. “Shout out to my quarterback.”

He's talking about Aaron Rodgers, the de facto king of NFL conspiracy theories.

“You can go to Alaska. You could go to the North Pole,” Metcalf said. “But why not Antarctica? Why can’t you just book a trip to Antarctica?”

Metcalf also believes that the world's leaders gather from time to time in Antarctica.

But Metcalf's tendency toward conspiracy theories predated his time with Aaron Rodgers, who along with Metcalf joined the Steelers in 2025.

"I’ve been on it,” Metcalf told Jones. “But it just so happened that we can bond over it.”

The article doesn't address whether Metcalf and Rodgers bonded over any specific conspiracy theories that have been attributed to Rodgers, including whether 9/11 was real and possibly that Sandy Hook was an inside job.
