The Giants will have a new quarterback at practice this week.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that they are signing Jake Haener to the active roster. Haener worked out for the team last month.
Haener was a Saints fourth-round pick in 2023 and spent three seasons with the team. He spent a short period of time with the Chiefs during the 2025 offseason.
Haener appeared in eight games during his time with New Orleans. He was 18-of-39 for 226 yards, a touchdown and an interception in that action.
Jaxson Dart, Jameis Winston, and Brandon Allen are the other quarterbacks on the Giants roster.
