Browns defensive end Jared Verse was not flagged for a hit on Sunday in which he lowered the top of his helmet into the side of Jets quarterback Geno Smith's helmet. The Jets were not happy about it.
Jets coach Aaron Glenn was seen yelling at the officials about it during the game, and afterward Smith posted on social media to try to get the NFL's attention about it.
A post on Smith’s Instagram stories simply included a photo of Verse's helmet smashing into Smith's face, and was tagged @NFL so that the league would see it.
The officials on the field didn't see it, but the league office surely did. It would be shocking if Verse isn't fined.
