Lions wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa made some of the most spectacular catches of any player in the NFL last season. He also had long stretches when he didn't contribute much of anything. This year, the expectation is for TeSlaa to keep making the big plays, but also contribute more tough catches every week.

Toward that end, TeSlaa said the offseason work he did with his own personal trainer made him stronger, and he believes that showed up during the Lions' offseason program.

“I felt like that really helped me get my body back and kind of restore some of that twitchiness I had before,” TeSlaa said, via Jacob Richman of MLive.com. “Just naturally kind of getting it through that but also going through receiver drills and all the training regiments that they have us going through, I felt like it’s really prepared me well.”

Lions wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery says the change in TeSlaa's conditioning is noticeable.

“He’s so much stronger," Montgomery said. “What I like to do is I like to watch where we were, especially from an athleticism standpoint, to where he is now. It’s not even close.”

As a rookie last year, TeSlaa caught six touchdown passes, but he did it on just 16 catches. This year, the Lions want him to keep finding the end zone, but to catch a lot more than just one pass a game.
