Lions head coach Dan Campbell said on Wednesday that wide receiver Tom Kennedy would have a role in Sunday's game against the Saints and that comment foreshadowed a roster move on Thursday.
The team announced that they have signed Kennedy to the 53-man roster. Kennedy was on the practice squad and the Lions had an open spot, so there was no need for a corresponding move.
