Patriots coach Mike Vrabel pointed to quarterback Drake Maye's turnovers as the difference after losing to the Seahawks.

"You can't throw three interceptions. Drake knows that," Vrabel said.

The Patriots lost the game 13-10 and lost the turnover battle 3-0, as all three turnovers in the game were Maye interceptions. Given that, it's no surprise that the Patriots lost: Last season, teams that were minus-3 or worse in turnover margin went 3-38.

"We can't turn the ball over and we have to create more turnovers," Vrabel said. "There's a few things we have to eliminate that get you beat in this league."

The Patriots' loss was sealed when Maye threw an interception into the end zone with 21 seconds left. Vrabel defended the decision to try to score a game-winning touchdown rather than settle for a game-tying field goal, but he acknowledged the throw wasn't what the Patriots wanted.

"We're trying to be aggressive and win the football game, but not reckless," Vrabel said. "It's never just about one guy. I think everybody knows that."

It's not about one guy, but the Patriots' loss to the Seahawks was primarily attributable to one guy: Maye wasn't good enough.
