The Saints won't have first-round pick Jordyn Tyson for at least the first four games of the regular season and they added an option to help fill in for him to their practice squad on Tuesday.
They signed former Browns wideout Cedric Tillman. Tillman was released as Cleveland set their initial 53-man roster over the weekend.
Tillman had 71 catches for 833 yards and five TDs over three seasons for the Browns.
In addition to having Tyson on injured reserve, the Saints left Mason Tipton on the physically unable to perform list to kick off the regular season. Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele are joined on the active roster by fourth-round pick Bryce Lane and sixth-round pick Barion Brown, so Tillman's experience may be appealing as the Saints head into Week 1.
