Eagles linebacker Zack Baun helped his team to a win in their season opener and he also received some individual accolades for his work against the Commanders.
Baun had 12 tackles and a tackle for loss in the 24-22 win. He also broke up a pair of passes thrown by Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.
The NFL announced on Wednesday that Baun has been named the NFC defensive player of the week in recognition of that effort. It's the second time that Baun has been awarded the prize.
The other instance came during his first year in Philadelphia in 2024. Baun also made the All-Pro team that year and he's been a Pro Bowl selection in both of his years as an Eagle.
