Pep, Stones and Silva tribute activities planned for Aston Villa match
Supporters will get the chance to give Pep Guardiola, John Stones and Bernardo Silva the send-off they so richly deserve after the game against Aston Villa.
Sunday’s 16:00 (UK) clash with the Villans marks the final home match for City of Pep, John and Bernardo after a decade of dominance in sky blue.
And we’re keen to ensure they leave knowing just what they mean to all of us Blues.
BUY TICKETS TO MONDAY’S CITY PARADE AFTER PARTY
After our clash with the Europa League winners, there will be a post-match presentation for the trio of icons.
We encourage fans to remain in their seats for their farewell after the match.
Stones and Silva will come out individually to a guard of honour and will be interviewed on-pitch before being offered the chance to say a final farewell to the Etihad.
They will then join the guard of honour themselves before the arrival of the Premier League icon and widely considered one of the greatest managers ever to grace the game.
There’s sure to be some ovation as the Catalan, who has masterminded six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, three FA Cups, five League Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup and three FA Community Shields, heads out to a place he now calls home – ‘my Manchester City’.
Like John and Bernardo, he will be interviewed on-pitch before addressing the crowd directly to give his final thoughts.
Following this, the full squad will do a lap of the pitch to say a final thank you to all the fans for your amazing support this season.
Remember, too, if you want a memento of a matchday to remember, you can pick up the programme, which is a special edition.
Pep takes pride of place on the front cover while inside this issue, it’s also packed with content about the legendary manager’s time in charge.
There’s also a Stones and Silva bookazine available around the ground, priced at £10.
It’s an 84-page A4 size publication packed full of content that celebrates the sparkling sky blue careers of our departing duo.
It’s a flipped, reverse issue meaning there’s a cover on the front and a cover on the back and you can read the publication from both sides with one section dedicated to Stones and the other to Silva.
It’s sure to be an emotional afternoon and we look forward to seeing you as we all celebrate the achievements of three true heroes of our great football club.
