Morning, family. Got something new for you, and this one goes right in your pocket.
The SportsMafia app for Android is here, and it's free.
It opens SportsMafia full-screen, no web address bar cluttering things up. You stay logged in, so no typing your password every time you stop by. Turn on phone alerts and your pick results, contests and replies to your posts show up right on your phone.
How to get it
1. Tap Download the SportsMafia App for Android (1.9 MB, Android 5 or newer).
2. Open it from your Downloads.
3. If your phone asks, allow the install.
4. Open SportsMafia, log in, and tap Allow when it asks about alerts.
Not on the Play Store, on purpose
The app comes straight from us at sportsmafia.net, not the Google Play Store. That's why your phone asks you to OK the install the first time. That's normal for an app that doesn't come from the Play Store. Strictly business.
Tapped download and nothing happened?
If you tapped the link inside a small browser window (like the ones that open from Facebook or a text message), the file can finish downloading but never open. Open your phone's Files or My Files app, go to Downloads and tap SportsMafia-1.0.0.apk. If it asks, turn on Allow from this source, go back and tap Install.
On an iPhone?
There's no app file for iPhone, but you're not left out in the cold. In Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. You get SportsMafia on your home screen with phone alerts too (iOS 16.4 or newer). Steps are here: Get the App & Phone Alerts.
