According to the Wild, Faber suffered the injury in Friday’s preseason game against the Dallas Stars. On Monday, the team placed the 24-year-old blueliner on injured reserve to start the season.

“He just had a serious surgery and an injury, so we’re just gonna you guys when the time’s right,” Guerin told Russo. “But he’s doing well. He’s doing really well, which is good news. And we’ll just follow the doctor’s lead.”
