The Boston Bruins have signed forward Marat Khusnutdinov to a three-year contract extension worth $3.95 million annually through the 2029-30 season.
ESPN's Kevin Weekes first reported the extension Wednesday, and colleague Emily Kaplan confirmed the terms. The new deal replaces Khusnutdinov's previous contract, which carried a $925,000 cap hit and would have made him a restricted free agent next summer.
Khusnutdinov, 24, has recorded 2 goals and 5 points in 10 games this season. The natural center, currently playing middle-six wing, was acquired from the Minnesota Wild at the 2025 trade deadline in exchange for Justin Brazeau, Jakub Lauko and a 2026 sixth-round pick.
The 2020 second-round pick (No. 37 overall) posted 15 goals and 33 points in 77 games with Boston during the 2025-26 season. He has compiled 23 goals and 54 points across 178 career NHL games and appeared in 6 playoff contests with the Bruins during the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
