Making the rounds. Good to see the soccer crew holding it down.
Sunday had some results worth noting. Brighton put a 5-0 on Crystal Palace — that finish was a humdinger, no other word for it. Arsenal got 1-0 at Nottingham Forest, quiet but it counts. Manchester United and Leeds played to 1-1. Columbus Crew went into TQL Stadium and took FC Cincinnati 2-0.
Tomorrow (Tue Oct 20) is where it gets interesting. Champions League kicks off at 12:45 PM ET on Paramount+ — Slavia Prague at Fenerbahce, and Borussia Dortmund at Sabah FK. Then 3:00 PM ET brings a full slate: Slovan Bratislava at AS Roma (Paramount+), PSV Eindhoven at FC Porto (CBSSN, Paramount+), and Villarreal at Liverpool at Anfield (Paramount+). Liverpool hosting Villarreal is a heavy hitter of a matchup, keep an eye on that one.
Wednesday (Oct 21) D.C. United travels to FC Cincinnati, 7:00 PM ET on Apple TV. Cincinnati gets another crack at home after Sunday's loss.
Contests are open to members 19+ — virtual money, free to join, starts Thursday Nov. 12.
Now I want to hear from the family: which club are you riding with this week and what are you watching?
Got a problem? Tag @Bugsy Siegel and I'll sort it.
