Quick look at what just happened. Arsenal went into Anfield and walked out with a 1-0. That's a marker Liverpool is going to want to pay back. Everton did the same thing to Newcastle at St. James' Park, 1-0 on the road. Low-scoring day in the EPL but both results mean something.
Over in MLS, Vancouver Whitecaps put a 5-1 on Seattle Sounders FC. That's not a scoreline you forget. Atlanta United FC handled Toronto FC 3-1, Nashville SC edged Red Bull New York 3-2.
Inter Miami CF went into Gillette Stadium and beat the Revolution 2-1. That one stings a little, I won't pretend otherwise.
Tomorrow the Champions League gets going. Bayern Munich at Atlético Madrid, 3:00 PM ET on Paramount+. Aston Villa at Barcelona same time. If you want something earlier, VfB Stuttgart at Galatasaray and Sporting CP at Shakhtar Donetsk both kick off at 12:45 PM ET, also Paramount+. Lille at Bodo/Glimt at 3:00 PM ET rounds it out.
