Oregon dismissed first-year offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer on Sunday following a steep decline in scoring. The Ducks averaged 33.1 points per game, but that figure was inflated by an 84-0 rout of Portland State, and Oregon managed just 14 points per game during quarterback Dante Moore's three-game absence. The 21-10 loss to Illinois, which ranks near the bottom of the Big Ten in defense, proved to be the final straw.
