The Dallas Cowboys enter Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at 2-4 following a 32-13 defeat to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The loss dropped Dallas to 16-23-1 since its 48-32 playoff elimination by the Packers in 2023.
Quarterback Dak Prescott acknowledged the team's fragile confidence, saying the locker room contains the only people who still believe in the group. The roster has undergone significant turnover, with just seven starters remaining from the 2021-2023 squads that posted three consecutive 12-5 records.
The Cowboys defense recorded its first interception and first three-sack performance of the season against Green Bay while limiting the run. However, the unit surrendered 11 third-down conversions and seven pass plays covering at least 15 yards. The offense has managed only 29 points across the past two contests.
Dallas faces a favorable upcoming stretch, with five of its next six opponents holding a combined 9-21 record. The schedule includes two meetings with Philadelphia, including a Thanksgiving contest, plus games against Arizona, Indianapolis, San Francisco and Tennessee. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for the season with blood clots in his lungs. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.
