Free agent center Christian Koloko has signed with Crvena Zvezda, the Serbian EuroLeague team announced Sunday morning on Twitter. The deal marks the Cameroonian big man's first professional stop in Europe.
Koloko, a 6'11" former Arizona standout, missed the entire '23/'24 campaign due to a blood clot issue but received medical clearance ahead of '24/'25. He began this season on a two-way contract with the Lakers before being waived near the end of November, later joining the Grizzlies on 10-day hardship contracts in December and January. He finished the NBA season on a two-way deal with Atlanta, appearing in 14 games and averaging 3.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per contest.
The 33rd overall pick in the 2022 draft by Toronto, Koloko has appeared in 122 career NBA games. His contract with Crvena Zvezda, which has opened its EuroLeague season 4-2, remains contingent on passing a physical. The roster features former NBA players Jared Butler, Patrick Baldwin and Semi Ojeleye.
