Jacksonville Jaguars president Mark Lamping said the team probably will not play three international home games during the 2027 season while EverBank Stadium undergoes renovations.
Lamping called the prospect of three overseas home contests "remote." The team had originally sought flexibility for three international games because of uncertainty between using Gainesville or Orlando as a temporary venue. All other 2027 home games are now slated for Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
The $1.4 billion renovation project is scheduled for completion in time for the 2028 season. Lamping said it would be "natural" for the Jaguars to host every home game in Jacksonville that year, though the schedule still depends on NFL international requirements.
The Jaguars have played 15 games in London since 2013, with contests at Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This season, Jacksonville defeated Philadelphia 19-17 at Tottenham and will face Houston at Wembley on Sunday. The team moved a previously scheduled 2030 international game to 2026.
Under NFL rules, every franchise must surrender a home game every four years for international play. Lamping noted that a potential 18-game regular season could increase the frequency of overseas contests.
