Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg exited Friday's game at Indiana with a left shoulder injury and could miss Saturday's home opener against San Antonio.
The injury happened late in the second quarter with Dallas ahead by 33 points. Pacers guard Aaron Nesmith committed a hard foul on Flagg during a fast break, resulting in a flagrant foul 1. Mavericks forward Naji Marshall received a technical foul for defending Flagg, and Nesmith also got a technical.
Flagg stayed in to make two free throws, then exited. The team subsequently sidelined him with left shoulder soreness. Marshall opened the second half with Flagg unavailable.
Before departing, Flagg tallied 14 points, six assists, five rebounds, three steals and one block in 17 minutes.
Mavericks head coach Dusty May said Flagg will be "evaluated the next couple days."
