Islam Makhachev has pulled out of his scheduled UFC welterweight title defense against Carlos Prates at UFC 336 on Jan. 30 in Toronto, leaving the UFC without an explanation. Prates will now face Michael Morales for an interim belt instead, with his manager confirming the promotion was "a little upset" with Makhachev's late change of heart after repeatedly stating he wanted to fight before Ramadan.
