NBA House will open in the Philippines for the first time on Aug. 29 and 30 at SPACE at One Ayala in Makati, featuring appearances by Hall of Famers Jason Kidd, Tony Parker and Lauren Jackson.
Parker, a four-time NBA champion, and Jackson, a two-time WNBA champion, will join Kidd at the interactive experience. Kidd, an NBA coach and former player who won one title during his playing career, previously coached Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks from 2014 to 2018 and later worked with Slovenian star Luka Dončić on the Dallas Mavericks. Kidd also had a front-row seat to Cooper Flagg during his final stint with Dallas.
Antetokounmpo, now the newest member of the Miami Heat, stands 7-foot tall and can defend guards. Kidd reflected on the league's evolution, noting that in the 1990s and 2000s, every player had a defined position. He praised Antetokounmpo's versatility, calling it astonishing to see someone of that size move like a guard. Kidd added that such players allow coaches and players to have more imagination and be more creative.
