Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren will miss at least two weeks with a right hamstring strain, the team announced Sunday.
Duren suffered the injury during the first half of Friday's win over the Miami Heat, playing just 10 minutes before exiting.
The 22-year-old is coming off a career year in which he averaged 19.5 points per game, earned his first All-Star selection and made the All-NBA third team. He helped the Pistons secure the top seed in the Eastern Conference, though his production dipped to 10.2 points per game across 14 postseason games before Detroit's second-round elimination.
Duren opened this season strong with 22 points and nine rebounds in Detroit's victory over the Boston Celtics.
The center recently signed a five-year, $200 million extension after missing media day and early training camp practices during a contract dispute.
