The Philadelphia Eagles are making another change at quarterback, turning to Joe Milton for Sunday's matchup against the New York Giants, sources told NFL Network and ESPN.
Milton becomes the third different starter under center for Philadelphia this season, replacing Tanner McKee after three starts. The move comes just days after coach Nick Sirianni said Monday that McKee would remain the starter.
The Eagles signed Milton off the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad on Oct. 16, the day before placing Jalen Hurts on injured reserve. Hurts was later ruled out indefinitely with multiple blood clots in both lungs and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Milton spent last season backing up Dak Prescott in Dallas, appearing in four games. The Cowboys acquired him from New England in April 2025 after the Patriots selected him in the sixth round of the 2024 draft. Dallas waived Milton after he lost a training camp battle to Sam Howell, then re-signed him to the practice squad.
McKee completed 63.2% of his passes for 638 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during his three-game stint.
Mickey's Angle: Philadelphia is grasping at straws with six straight losses, so Milton is a desperation dart throw for a team searching for any spark.
