The New York Jets will not trade star wide receiver Garrett Wilson before the Nov. 10 deadline, according to sources who told ESPN.
One source said there is "no way" Wilson gets moved, even with outside interest mounting. The Jets traded Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams at last year's deadline, but sources say Wilson's situation is different.
Wilson, 26, signed a four-year, $130 million extension through 2030 just 15 months ago. Jets ownership reportedly loves him and wants him to stay. The team already holds extra 2027 first-round picks from trading Gardner and Williams, so accumulating more draft capital is no longer the priority.
Wilson recently expressed his desire to remain with the team.
"I want to be here, man," he said. "I want to win games, and that's the one thing we've been missing on here."
Other receivers like Brian Thomas Jr., Josh Downs, Jauan Jennings, Jerry Jeudy and Calvin Ridley could still be available, but Wilson is firmly off the market.
Mickey's Angle: The Jets finally seem committed to keeping a core piece rather than stockpiling picks—bettors should watch if this stability actually translates to offensive improvement down the stretch.
