The New York Jets may be without their top receiver this Sunday against Kansas City.
Garrett Wilson entered the concussion protocol after taking a hit to the head on the Jets' next-to-last play against Las Vegas last week. Coach Aaron Glenn said Wilson reported symptoms Monday and is considered day-to-day. Wilson leads the team with 43 receptions, 527 yards and three receiving touchdowns.
The Jets do have options if Wilson sits out. Adonai Mitchell posted a career-high 147 yards last week, and rookie Omar Cooper Jr. already has two 100-yard games.
Meanwhile, running back Breece Hall is "trending in the right direction" after missing five games with a quadriceps injury. Glenn said the Jets have been cautious with Hall to avoid further injury. Braelon Allen has filled in ably, rushing for 504 yards in five starts.
Glenn shut down trade speculation around Hall, saying, "We're in the business of keeping good players."
The defense could also get healthier. Rookie David Bailey, who leads the Jets with 5.5 sacks, is likely to return from a groin injury. Edge rusher Joseph Ossai is poised to come back from an ankle injury that cost him three games.
Mickey's Angle: Monitor Wilson's practice status closely this week; if he sits, Mitchell and Cooper become interesting DFS fliers against a Chiefs defense that can be had through the air.
