Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell suffered a serious injury during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Campbell went down while making a tackle on T.J. Hockenson during a 10-yard gain early in the fourth quarter. He remained motionless on the field after the play.
Medical personnel rushed to attend to Campbell, who was immobilized on a backboard before being carted off. Players from both teams took a knee while Campbell received treatment. Several Lions teammates, including edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson, were visibly emotional during the stoppage.
The Lions later announced at 3:58 p.m. ET that Campbell has been transported to a local hospital for evaluation of a neck injury.
No further update on Campbell's condition has been provided.
