The Los Angeles Rams are exploring trade options at wide receiver after Davante Adams ruptured his hamstring in Week 6 against the Cardinals. Adams is expected to miss six to 10 weeks, with a best-case return not until December.
General manager Les Snead, known for aggressive moves, has the Rams considering several targets before the November 10 deadline.
George Pickens of the Cowboys tops the list. The 2-4 Cowboys could become sellers, and owner Jerry Jones has indicated openness to deals. Pickens has 33 catches for 428 yards on his $27.3 million franchise tag, with any acquiring team owing about $18.2 million prorated.
Jacksonville's Brian Thomas Jr. offers a cheaper alternative on his rookie deal through 2027. The 2024 first-rounder has been benched by coach Liam Coen, catching just nine passes for 105 yards this season after an 87-catch, 1,282-yard rookie year.
Minnesota's Trent Sherfield Jennings and Tennessee's Calvin Ridley are also mentioned as potential fits for a Rams offense that ranks second in passing yards per game.
Mickey's Angle: The Rams need bodies now, but Pickens' price tag and Thomas Jr.'s rookie contract present very different risk-reward profiles for a team already thin on draft capital.
