The Baltimore Ravens have officially acquired quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals, the teams announced Friday morning.
The Ravens will send a 2027 fourth-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick to Arizona in exchange for Brissett and a 2027 fifth-round selection, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Brissett started all eight games for the Cardinals this season before being demoted to third string this week. Gardner Minshew has taken over as the starter, with rookie Carson Beck now serving as the backup.
Baltimore turned to undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano in Thursday night's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars with Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley both on injured reserve. Brissett will have more than a week to learn the offense before a Week 10 Monday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Mickey's Angle: Brissett gives the Ravens a veteran safety net while Jackson heals, but don't expect fireworks—he's a game manager at best, and that Chargers defense won't be taking a night off.
