Baltimore's offensive line took another hit Sunday when rookie guard Vega Ioane exited the loss to Cincinnati with a knee injury.
NFL Media reported Tuesday that Ioane suffered an MCL sprain and will miss additional time before he can return.
Ioane began the season at right guard before shifting to center following injuries to Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic. The Ravens acquired Cam Jurgens via trade, and his debut against the Bengals moved Ioane back to right guard, where he was injured.
Emory Jones stepped in for Ioane during the Cincinnati game, with Andrew Vorhees inactive in Week 7. Baltimore will likely need one of those two against the Bills in Week 8.
The Ravens have already faced significant shuffling up front this season, and Ioane's absence adds to the challenge of protecting the quarterback and establishing the run.
Mickey's Angle: Baltimore's line instability is becoming a real concern for fantasy managers counting on their Ravens skill players, and bettors should watch how this affects their offensive output against Buffalo.
