The Tennessee Titans released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott on Tuesday following an incident at the team's facility.
Elliott played in the first five games of the season but was inactive last Sunday after missing practice Friday for what the team called personal reasons. The Titans stated that an incident involving Elliott occurred at their facility on October 15, and they made the decision to release him after an internal review.
The team announced it will not comment further on the matter.
Elliott signed a two-year deal with Tennessee as a free agent this offseason. He recorded 11 tackles in his time with the Titans and has also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns.
Mickey's Angle: Tennessee's defensive line depth takes a hit midseason. Keep an eye on who the Titans elevate from the practice squad or acquire to fill the roster spot ahead of their next game.
