Connor Hellebuyck posted a letter to Winnipeg fans on Instagram, saying his trade request stemmed from "very challenging circumstances involving my family." The three-time Vezina winner, dealt to New Jersey last month for multiple players and picks, called it an "extremely difficult decision" but kept specifics private. He thanked Jets supporters and said Winnipeg will "always hold a special place" in his heart.
