Nikita Kucherov has requested a trade from Tampa Bay after clashing with GM Julien BriseBois over contract talks, though the Lightning say they won't move him yet. Sources indicate the reigning MVP is done with the club after this season regardless, giving BriseBois a decision on whether to explore deals now or lose him for nothing. Kucherov, 33, has a 10-team no-trade list and is in no rush, but Dallas, Chicago, the Islanders and San Jose emerge as intriguing fits if Tampa changes course.
