Fraser Minten is off to a strong start in the 2026-27 season, giving the Boston Bruins reason to feel good about their offseason investment.
Through 12 games, the 22-year-old forward has five goals and five assists for 10 points. He added a two-point effort in Saturday's 6-4 victory over the San Jose Sharks.
The Bruins sit at 9-2-1 with 19 points, second-best in the league. Minten's production comes after Boston signed him to a seven-year, $50.4-million extension in the offseason.
On Daily Faceoff LIVE, Pete Blackburn praised Minten's development. He noted the Vancouver native worked on his shot over the summer after struggling to finish chances last season. Blackburn called Minten a smart, heady, 200-foot player with a high motor who never takes a shift off.
The expectation, according to Blackburn, is that Minten will only improve and become a key piece for years to come.
Mickey's Angle: Minten's finishing improvement is real, and at 22 he's only scratching the surface. Bruins backers should track his goal props as his confidence grows.
