Amanda Nunes will meet Kayla Harrison in the UFC 334 co-main event on Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Nunes, a former 135 and 145-pound champion who retired in 2023, will face the reigning UFC bantamweight champion. Harrison is a two-time Olympic judo champion. The pair were former training partners at American Top Team.
Nunes said she sparred Harrison previously and that Harrison "still does the same mistakes since we sparred." Nunes also said Harrison is not committed with female training partners and gets along more with the guys. Nunes said Harrison repeatedly called her out publicly despite sharing a gym, and that Harrison should have waited for her retirement before targeting the title. Nunes said she brought two belts to American Top Team.
Tensions rose in the gym when Harrison joined UFC. Nunes studied Harrison extensively since their sparring days.
