Brothers and sisters, it's almost kickoff. Here are the spots worth your attention today before you put your money down.

Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals (1:00 PM, CBS)
Opened CIN -6.5, sitting CIN -13.5 now. That crossed right through 7. Total slid from 49.5 to 46.5. Carnell Tate (Titans WR) is out with a shoulder, Calvin Ridley (Titans WR) is questionable with a hip. Kyle Dugger (Bengals S) is also out. Big move, and the value at the opener is long gone.

What it means for you: The line is quiet early, then a big move hits; acting before news breaks is how you protect yourself, because by Sunday the opening number is just a memory.

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (1:00 PM, CBS)
Opened JAX -4.5, now JAX -10. Crossed through 7. Total dropped from 49.5 to 46.5. Showers, 79 degrees. Jacksonville is coming off a bye with 14 days rest. Antonio Johnson (Jaguars S) is out ankle, Jakobi Meyers (Jaguars WR) questionable hamstring. Anthony Gould (Colts WR) out concussion, Justin Walley (Colts CB) out knee.

What it means for you: Extra rest after a bye gets priced in as the week goes on; by Sunday that edge is already in the number, so know it early.

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos (4:25 PM, CBS)
This one flipped. Opened DEN -1.5, now KC -1.5. Total dropped from 43.5 to 41.5. Intermittent clouds, 63 degrees. Talanoa Hufanga (Broncos S) is out ankle, Jaylen Waddle (Broncos WR) questionable chest. Mansoor Delane (Chiefs CB) and Omarr Norman-Lott (Chiefs DT) both out. The injury reports don't fully explain the total drop, so something may not be in the reports yet.

What it means for you: When a total falls and the injury reports don't explain it, chasing the under means paying the worst price of the week for a number you don't fully understand.

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders (8:20 PM, NBC)
Another flip and a huge one. Opened PHI -2.5, now WSH -6. Crossed through 3. Total cratered from 46.5 to 40.5. Mostly cloudy, 50 degrees. Washington has 13 days rest. Daron Payne (Commanders DT) out foot, Javon Kinlaw (Commanders DT) out knee. Britain Covey (Eagles WR) and Dontayvion Wicks (Eagles WR) both out.

What it means for you: When the favorite flips entirely, the market is telling you it now thinks the other team wins today; whatever your read was at open, that is a fundamentally different bet now.

Stay sharp out there and don't chase numbers that already moved. The books don't do us any favors, so we do the homework ourselves. Which of these moves surprised you most this week?
