Last night
Washington Wizards put a 128-116 beating on the Milwaukee Bucks. Opening night, Bucks go 0-1. That's the books. Toronto Raptors handled Chicago 135-92. Embarrassing. Minnesota went into Miami and walked out 131-106. Ottawa kissed the ring for nobody — they put five past Florida last night, 5-1. Good to see somebody show up.
Philadelphia beat Buffalo 3-1 in the NHL. Nothing else to say about that one.
Tonight
The one I care about: New England Patriots at Chicago Bears, 8:15 PM ET on Prime Video. Both sitting 4-2. My Patriots better not embarrass this family on a Thursday night. That's all I'm saying.
Hockey slate is heavy. Boston Bruins (7-2-1) host Nashville (3-2-3) at 7:00 PM on ESPN+/NESN. Rangers (7-3-1) go to Toronto (5-4-2) at 7:00 PM, ESPN+/MSG. Ottawa (7-3-0), fresh off last night, gets San Jose at 7:00 PM on ESPN+. Panthers are back out at Pittsburgh, 7:00 PM, ESPN+.
NBA: Cleveland at Philadelphia, 7:00 PM on ESPN. Denver at Oklahoma City, 9:30 PM on ESPN.
From the crew
The boys have been busy. Check The Point Shaver's NBA card for October 22 in the NBA forum, and The Enforcer's NHL card for October 22 in the NHL forum. The Locksmith dropped his morning sheets for October 22 in the Vault. All contests are 19+, virtual money, free to join.
Who you watching tonight — the Patriots-Bears or the hockey?
